Specialty Food and Wine Stores Nehalem
Nehalem Bay Winery

Located in the old Mohler Creamery, the Nehalem Bay Winery offers tastings and sales, picnic tables, and cultural events. Located one mile east of Highway 101 on Highway 53, the Nehalem Bay Winery has been open since 1974.

They offer such standard varietals as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignan, as well as fruit and honey mead wines. They also offer specialty vinegars, tee shirts, wine glasses, and gift baskets in their stone-floored tasting room.

They also offer a large meeting room for weddings, parties and large events. The "Theatre Au Vin" displays performing and visual arts events there, as well as music concerts.

Once part of the Tillamook Creamery Co-op, Mohler Creamery produced cheese, milk, and butter between 1909 and 1959. The barn lay fallow for many years until the owner happened across it, envisioned, and built a winery there.

Its first production was blackberry wine, which continues to be popular. Over the years, the winemaker expanded their lines to include the standard varietals and such fruit wines as Valley Peach, Plum, and Rhubarb wines.

While in the Nehalem Bay area, visitors will also find interesting boutiques, restaurants, antique shops, and the Nehalem Bay State Park.
