Oregon State Parks Highway 101 Port Orford to Gold Beach
Humbug Mountain State Park

Humbug Mountain is the highest point on the Oregon Coast, towering 1756 feet above sea level. It is also the centerpiece of Humbug Mountain State Park, which encompasses the mountain and a small amount of land at sea level.

The campground is across Highway 101 from the mountain, connected by a tunnel under the road. There are no reservations for campsites, which are taken on a first come, first served basis. In addition to 32 electrical hookups for RVs and an additional 62 tent sites, there's a hiker/biker section.

A trail leads to the top of Humbug Mountain which will challenge even seasoned hikers. At one time, an annual race to the summit was held in the autumn, known as the Bah Humbug Killer 8K. It drew quite a few runners, but it was eventually cancelled due to safety concerns.
