Lewis and Clark River Bridge
The Lewis and Clark River Bridge was designed by famous engineer Conde B. McCullough and was completed in 1924. Situated on the Warrenton Highway in Astoria, this bridge is the only single-leaf bascule drawspan in Oregon.
There are only four double-leaf bascule bridges left in Oregonís highway system. Located in Clatsop County, the Lewis and Clark River Bridge stretches 828 feet, with its bascule span totaling 112 feet.
