Lighthouses Highway 101 Yachats to Florence
Heceta Head Lighthouse

Heceta Head Lighthouse is perhaps the most photographed single image on the Oregon Coast. From the viewpoint north of Sea Lion Caves, the lighthouse can be seen on its rocky headland, with Pacific Ocean waves rolling in towards the sandy beach. The lighthouse was built in 1894 and, along with the nearby lighthouse keepers house, has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The site is maintained by Oregon State Parks.

The Heceta Head Keeper’s House is perched on a cliff and serves as an intrepretative center during the day and a bed and breakfast at night. From the restored, Queen-Anne style Keepers house, there are paths that lead to the beach and to lighthouse.
