Situated on a third acre, guests who stay at Ethel's Coast Cottage enjoy the "little forest" backyard and close walk to the 804 Trail that leads into downtown Yachats.
This small cottage, reminiscent of the owners' mother and grandmother, accommodates eight persons. There are two bedrooms that contain queen-sized beds, two queen-hide-a-beds in the living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a woodstove in the living room along with a television with VCR/DVD player.
They request that guests bring their own linens, towels, firewood, and that the home is cleaned before departure. Cleaning supplies and equipment are provided for that purpose. There is a two-night minimum stay requirement during the summer months and a three-night stay during holidays. In addition to summer and winter rates, the seventh night stay is free. They also require a pet fee and security deposit.
Guests at Ethel's Coast Cottage enjoy walks on the beach, and other outdoor activities. Yachats, and the neighboring areas, provide beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean during the summer and winter seasons. Places to visit along this stretch of the Oregon Coast include the Heceta Head Lighthouse, Cape Perpetua, Sea Lion Caves, and the Siuslaw National Forest. In Newport, there are such attractions as the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Undersea Gardens, and the Wax Museum.
