The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area provides a number of campsites in the Hauser area between Lakeside and North Bend. All of them are located on the west side of Highway 101. Access is through Hauser Depot Road. The fee station is a few hundred yards south of Hauser. A large cluster of campsites are located less than a mile farther west. These sites are easily accessible.
Most of the other sites near Hauser are remote, and ODNRA does not advise attempting to reach them with RVs, campers or trailers. Several of them are along a primitive road near Beale Lake. Others are completely surrounded by open sand.
