Bird Watching Cannon Beach
Cannon Beach Settling Ponds

These ponds and the nearby Little Pompeii wetlands, both hugely popular with birds, draw the great blue heron, bald eagle, wood duck, northern shoveler, northern pintail, American wigeon, Wilson's snipe, green-winged teal, black-capped chickadee, violet-green swallow, marsh wren, and rufous hummingbird.

Go south from Highway 101 in Seaside, then take the first Cannon Beach exit. Go straight at the stop sign and continue as it makes two right-angle turns. At the next stop sign, go straight on Spruce Street, then turn left on 2nd Street. Continue to the observation platform on the right, and the parking lot.
