Twilight Creek Eagle Sanctuary

The 35,000-acre Lewis and Clark National Wildlife Refuge comprises protected tidal marshes, mudflats, open water, and islands. The refuge supports significant populations of winter waterfowl, among them Canada goose and tundra swan. Observed year round are the great blue heron, great egret, and bald eagle.

From Hwy 101 in Astoria, go east seven miles, turn north on Burnside Loop near milepost 87, then proceed a mile to the observation deck.
