Unique Restaurants Cannon Beach
Morris' Fireside Restaurant

Morris' Fireside Restaurant serves seafood, steaks, clam chowder, and fish and chips in downtown Cannon Beach. With a long history, this restaurant provides a unique dining experience in a log-style building.

The restaurant is located in the second log building on the site at the corner of Second and Hemlock streets. The original log restaurant was built by Paul Bartel in 1921 to feed local loggers. Some of those loggers slept in small cabins behind the restaurant and there are stories of some encounters with bears.

When the current owners purchased the restaurant in 1976, they installed the first bathrooms at the establishment. Due to its added success, the restaurant experienced added wear and tear to the original structure. In 1985, the owners erected a new, larger log-style building complete with a large stone fireplace.

This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a lodge-style environment. They also offer a banquet/meeting room where events may be catered by the restaurant.
