Highway 101 Astoria to Seaside
Sunset Beach State Park
Sunset Beach State Park contains the west trailhead of the 6.5 mile Fort-to-Sea Trail, replicating the route that Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery traveled between Fort Clatsop and the Pacific Ocean during the winter of 1805-6.
Sunset Beach faces directly onto the Pacific Ocean and yields views including Cape Disappointment to the north and Ecola State Park to the south.
There are no fees charged for the use of this park. Paved parking is provided for 21 vehicles. An information station tells about the area and an ADA accessible boardwalk leads to the beach.
