Pacific City Airport
This facility, FAA Identfier PFC, is adjacent to the Nestucca River and lies at five feet elevation, one mile south of Pacific City. A wind indicator is present. The airport is perpendicular to Three Capes Loop, and comes so close that a sign by the road warns drivers to beware of low-flying aircraft. The grassy airstrip is 1,875 by 30 feet, and it is surfaced by asphalt in good condition. It has been in the same location since the 1920s. The runway may be under water during winter high tides. Aircraft operations average 38 a week, of which 89 percent is transient general aviation, eight percent local general aviation, and four percent air taxi.
