Hogfather's

At Hogfather's "Almost Famous" Dinner Theater, families enjoy a great meal and musical or theatre acts in a small venue. Located on Toledo's Main Street, Hogfather's uses authentic recipes that are unique and delicious.

Entertainment and dinner is provided at one cost on Friday and Saturday evenings in this non-smoking establishment. At least once a month in 2007, recipes will be chosen from the "Toledo Families Centennial Cookbook, 1905 – 2005." A sample menu includes "Cousin Jack Pasties," Fran Westphal's "Crunchy Pea Salad," "Aunt Vi's rolls," and Martin Krogstad’s "Good Meat Loaf" recipe. For desert, the host is serving Rae Anne Kapfer’s "Low Fat Carrot Cake."

Entertainment headliners include local artists, semi-retired famous artists, "seasoned" artists, and up-and-coming performers. In a themed environment, guests enjoy a variety of live entertainment for about the same cost of a movie and a large popcorn.

Situated across the street from Toledo's Port Dock, the theater also promotes other local businesses through mentions during the evening. They encourage hotels, restaurants, and pubs to catch a show and pick up background information on artists to pre-audition talent they may want to perform at their own establishments.
