Drift Creek Falls
This well-kept, three-mile, mid-difficulty loop runs amidst a slender stand of ancient Douglas fir and over a 240-foot suspension bridge 100 feet above Drift Creek and a waterfall plunging over a precipitous cliff. Keep eyes peeled for olive-sided flycatcher, Wilson's and orange-crowned warbler, varied and Swainson's thrush, hairy woodpecker, winter wren, and Steller's jay.
In Lincoln City on Highway 101, drive south and turn east on Drift Creek Road, then south on S Drift Creek Road. Turn east on Forest Service Road 17, then drive 10 miles to the parking lot and trailhead.
