Bird Watching
Lincoln City
Devil's Lake State Park
This park invites visitors to view wildlife from a hiking trail -- or from a kayak or canoe -- mere minutes from downtown Lincoln City. As birders glide by, they should watch for bald eagle, American coot, common loon, bufflehead, canvasback, green-winged teal, pelagic cormorant, and western grebe. The trees draw migrating Swainson's thrush and cedar waxswing, frequently in substantial flocks.
In Lincoln City, turn east from Highway 101 onto NE 6th Street, proceed to the gravel parking lot, and wetland trailhead.
