Bird Watching
Tillamook
Munson Creek State Natural Site
A vestige of the Pacific Northwest rainforest, this site is home to primeval Sitka spruce and red cedar. Watch and listen at any time of the year for varied thrush, American dipper, and winter wren, and in summer for Wilson's warbler, Swainson's thrush, western tanager, golden-crowned kinglet, chestnut-backed chickadee, and hairy woodpecker.
From Highway 101 in Tillamook, drive south six miles to Munson Creek Road, turn east and drive two miles to the parking lot.
