Great blue heron are common, bald eagle are occasional, while common merganser, bufflehead, and American wigeon commonly use the area in winter. Brown pelican, purple martin, and pigeon guillemot are frequently sighted in summer.
From Highway 101 in Garibaldi, turn west onto 7th Street, follow 7th to Commercial Street and the boat basin parking lot.
