Nehalem Bay Sewage Ponds
In winter, birders can scrutinize these ponds for gadwall, mallard, northern pintail, green-winged teal, and American wigeon. Migrating Wilson's snipe, dunlin, and western and least sandpiper are seen in early fall, then in April. Red-tailed hawk and white-tailed kite can be enjoyed in all seasons.
From Highway 101 South in Nehalem, turn west onto Tidelands Road, proceed a half mile to the gate, and park.
