Neawanna Point -- Coast Natural History Center
This center, which provides birders with information, a public trail, and local bird guides, is situated at the confluence of Neacoxie and Neawanna creeks. A viewing deck offers excellent bird watching year round, but observing is best around the April and September migration when bird numbers peak. Come to Neawanna Point to observe great blue heron, green heron, greater yellowlegs, semi-palmated plover, bald eagle, osprey, and coastal waterfowl. The center is located on the west side of Highway 101, on the north end of Seaside.
